LINDSEY LEADLEY - Principal
Lindsey trained at The Oxford School of Drama & The American Musical Theatre Academy. Since graduating Lindsey has performed both on stage and screen in numerous plays and musicals. She went on to perform with touring productions across the UK & Europe. Lindsey's real passion is working with young people. She set up Musical Mania Performing Arts in 2012 to offer the best Musical theatre training to young aspiring stars. Offering large scale Musical Productions, West End Workshops, Audition techniques, weekly classes and private tuition. Lindsey is a qualified Trinity tutor and has years of directing & producing Musical Productions. Lindsey's goal is to help supply her students with the confidence & skills needed to pursue a career in the Arts. Lindsey is thrilled to be passing on her knowledge and experience to all her students. She aims to provide the highest standard of training and produce West-End quality shows.
STEVEN OLIVER - Co-Principal / Head of MT
Steven trained at Bodywork Dance Studios and graduated with a National Diploma in professional Musical Theatre. His Professional Credits include: Annie UK Tour, Cats, West Side Story, Pepper in Mamma Mia International Tour, Mamma Mia West End (Prince of Wales & Novello Theatre), Across the Wall Opera (St James Theatre), Be Back Soon (Stratford East), Universal (London Palladium) TV credits include: Nickelodeon, EastEnders, The Queen's Nose, Murphy's Law, Mr Charity.Steven is currently touring the UK and performing on P&O cruise ships with Era Boys, his vocal harmony group.
Ben Evans - Tutor
Ben Evans trained at Sylvia Young Theatre school. His professional credits includes: Gavroche in Les Miserables (The Palace Theatre London & the 10th Anniversary concert at The Royal Albert Hall)Oliver and The Artful Dodger in Oliver (The London Palladium). Pepper in Mamma Mia! (Prince Of Wales). ‘Sam Wise Gamgee’ in The Lord Of The Rings (Drury Lane). ‘Grumpskin’ in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Frankie Valli’ in Jersey Boys (Prince Edward). ‘Davy Jones’ in ‘Monkee Business' (UK Tour).TV credits; The Fast Show, Mr Bean and CBBC’s Home Farm Twins where he played the role of ‘Sam Hunt’ for 2 seasons.Casualty, Teachers, Waking The Dead and most notably, creating the role of ‘Charlie Jenkins’ in BBC Wales hit comedy ‘High Hopes’. E4’s ‘Skins’ and the Brad Pitt movie ‘World War Z.
CARA JAMES - Street Dance & Acting teacher
Cara trained at Bodywork Dance Studios. After graduating she then spent many years teaching at the prestigious Bodywork Dance Studios. Cara’s teaching, training and talent is vast. Her love for performing is huge and she is thrilled to be working with our students in Street dance and drama.
SHEILA HENDERSON - Accompanist
Sheila has been involved with Musical Mania since it began in 2012 as an accompanist and rehearsal pianist. Graduating in Music she was asked to accompany 'West Side Story' at the Kings Theatre, Glasgow. After a successful run she then went onto conduct for the Musical ‘Gigi’, which made her the first ever female conductor at The Kings Theatre. Since moving to the Cotswolds Sheila has built up a successful career in piano tuition. She is the accompanist for The Cheltenham Singers and The Oxford City Singers which is one of the largest choirs in Oxford.
