Musical Mania (henceforth referred to as “we” “Musical Mania” or “The Company”) is committed to protecting your privacy. We take our responsibilities regarding the security of customer information very seriously. This policy explains how we use customer information and how we protect your privacy.
As required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access.
Use of customer information
If you wish to enrol a student with Musical Mania for a class or holiday course, we will collect the following personal data: parent or guardian’s name; contact and address details; relationship to the student; emergency contact numbers; name, age, gender and date of birth of student; and any special conditions relating to the student.
If you contact us about a children’s party, we will collect details of the child’s name and date of birth, numbers of children attending, and type of party requested, where and when the party is to take place and the parent or guardian's contact details.
Once your booking is completed your information will be held until the student ceases to attend Musical Mania.
If your booking is for a party we will retain your data for 6 months, after which it will be deleted.
If you enquire about Musical Mania we will retain your data for 6 months, after which it will be deleted.
The information we collect allows us to:
- provide teaching services in singing, dance and drama and the organisation of performances and parties
- meet legal, regulatory and compliance requirements including the administration of Musical Mania’s statutory obligations relating to children
- communicate with you
Disclosure to third parties
Musical Mania does not pass on your personal information to others unless we are legally required to do so.
Musical Mania may also use social media accounts for communication. You are advised to take care when submitting any personal data via these channels and you should refer to their Privacy Policies for information about how your data is collected, stored and used by these companies.
You may instruct us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you. Provision of such information will be subject to the supply of appropriate evidence of your identity (for this purpose, we will usually accept a photocopy of your passport certified by a solicitor or bank plus an original copy of a utility bill showing your current address).
You may instruct us at any time to delete all your personal information from our records.
